If you like citrus drinks this one is awesome and your liver and skin will LOVE you for it.
Parsley, lemons and pure cranberry are some of the best choices for supporting your liver, cleansing your system and flushing out fat.
All produce should be organic and as much of it local as possible : ) Support your local farmers. You can definitely taste the difference in your food.
Tart & Tangy for a happy , healthy liver
About 10 sprigs of fresh parsley
1 apple
1 orange
1 lemon
1 lime
1 ripe sweet red grapefruit
5 dates pitted
Water to desired consistency. I like my green drinks more on the runny side so I max out water.
8oz unsweetened organic cranberry juice. (Such as Knudsen Just Cranberry)
Scoop of chia seeds
1 banana
Bunch of lacinato or other green kale raw
Some ice or chill after blended and drink cold.
You will love this green drink!
For all the citrus, if you have a vita mix like I do, then you can just slice away the outermost layer (the colored part) and put right into your vita mix. Lots of vitamins in that white part that a lot of people peel away when they eat oranges and grapefruits ; )
For the apple I use an apple slicer that cores it for me so I only put in the slices.
Put all ingredients together and blend away until well combined. If you’re using a high speed blender then just slice your fruits and veggies up a little more before blending.
